Introduction

When I say cosmos, I might dive a little into physics, chemistry and the stories, but mostly I will be writing about distractions, the internet and computing.

Portals

Aside from bookmarks, Trello has a good system for converting links into a title automatically--just need to paste the link. This skips a step from having to write a title and then converting the title into a hyperlink. Notion has this option. It's an option that is quicker than using Markdown syntax or Wiki Code syntax. HTML with anchor tags is the most verbose way to get a portal with links, but it allows for the most control. See my Portal for a collection of my selected links.

-After working with HTML markup with my website and having to use a workflow where articles are first written in Simplenote and then copied to HTML, MediaWiki streamlined the process well. I can write, edit, and present all in one place. Side effect is having a part of my website that doesn't carry the same CSS, but I'll live with that. It's also a place where I can play with extensions and configurations without tinkering with my team's wiki.
